Doylestown Hospital, the flagship of Doylestown Health, is part of a clinically integrated system of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services. The Village Improvement Association (VIA), which still oversees the governance of the hospital, recognized the need for public health initiatives and employed a Visiting Nurse in 1916 and soon after opened the Doylestown Emergency Hospital in 1923.

Today, Doylestown Hospital has 232 beds and a Medical Staff of more than 435 physicians in over 50 specialties offering a comprehensive continuum of services from childbirth to end-of-life care.
